The Ford Racing Mustang FR500S is a purpose-built racing car!

Only 77 were built, with Ford Racing performance parts including springs, shocks, sway bars, 3:73 ring and pinion, long-tube headers, cold air intake, six-speed gearbox with short shift kit, plus an AIM data acquisition system, Brembo brake calipers, Performance Friction brake pads, fire-suppression system, safety equipment (roll cage, removable steering wheel, window net, racing seat and belts), front splitter and rear wing, GT 500 wheels and BFGoodrich® g-Force™ R1™ tires.

Drive on our world-class track—a 4.5-mile, 40-50 foot wide, 23-turn circuit, the longest in North America. It has four different configurations, ranging from two different 2.2-mile circuits (East and West Courses) to the 3.08-mile Perimeter Course and the 4.5-mile Full Course. The 3500-foot main straightaway allows the fastest cars to approach 200 mph. This course has been driven by the best drivers in the American Le Mans Series, Grand-Am Road Racing and NASCAR.

Our team of champion and professional instructors is led by Cindi Lux. All instructors have real racing experience and hold multiple championships in the Sports Car Club of America (SCCA), the National Auto Sport Association (NASA) and Grand-Am.

Automatic transmission Mustangs are not available. You must know how to operate a manual transmission in order to drive.

We provide helmets for classes but participants are welcome to bring their own if it is rated Snell 2000 or better. We provide one-layer driving suits for our full-day Ford Racing High Performance Driving School participants. Racing suits are not required for the Mustang Experience. For race-weekend arrive-and-drive participants, two layer suits, full-face helmets and HANS devices are available for rent (reservations required).

Participants are welcome to bring a guest. The guest can join us for all classroom sessions, as well as all meals, for an additional $50 fee. Guests will not be permitted to ride with participants; however, they may sign up for Hot Laps at noon to ride with an instructor. Guests will be required to sign track waivers.
