The Utah Region of the National Auto Sport Association (NASA) will be presenting the fifth annual, season-ending Fall Enduro at Miller Motorsports Park on Saturday, October 27, and there are some big prizes to be won by competitors.
The three-hour race will take place on the 3.08-mile Outer Course at MMP, one of the fastest and most challenging circuits in North America. There will be a free twilight practice session on Friday, October 26, from 5:00 p.m. until 6:30 p.m., with qualifying scheduled for 9:40 a.m. on Saturday, to be followed by the green flag at 1:30 p.m. There will also be an open-wheel race.
In previous years, there have been mandatory five-minute pit stops during the Fall Enduro. Now that the event is governed by NASA rules for the first time, this rule has been changed and the Fall Enduro will be a real endurance race, with teams forced to get their cars pitted, serviced and back on track as quickly as possible, making it more exciting for racers and spectators.
There are a number of prizes available to be won by competitors during the race. These include free day garage rentals, tickets to a Utah Jazz game, free test days event entry, a free 2013 NASA event entry and an exclusive evening track rental at MMP. All teams are invited to a barbecue dinner following the event.
“We’re very pleased with the partnership between NASA and Miller Motorsports Park,” said Will Faules, NASA National Event Manager. “With all the great things going on between NASA and Miller Motorsports Park, this three-hour endure promises to be nothing short of exciting. This is a great opportunity for new NASA racers to become part of the NASA family, and a great warm-up for veteran teams who may be preparing for the grueling 25 Hours of Thunderhill, which is coming up December 8-9 at California’s Thunderhill Raceway. We hope that the NASA Utah Fall Enduro at Miller Motorsports Park attracts a record crowd!”
