The new Ford Racing F-150 SVT Raptor Assault program, based at Miller Motorsports Park, has announced its full schedule for the 2013 season.
The Ford Racing Raptor Assault program provides hands-on experience in high-performance off-road driving on a variety of terrain at the state-of-the-art facility just outside Salt Lake City. A product of the Miller Performance Schools, the Raptor Assault uses slightly modified versions of Ford’s renowned production F-150 SVT Raptor.
Miller Motorsports Park has three distinct off-road facilities that perfectly demonstrate the Raptor’s capabilities. There is an eight-acre Rock-Crawling Course, a 22-acre high-speed Off-Road Short Course and a 900-acre Off-Road Desert Course. Few, if any, other motorsports facilities in North America offer such a variety of terrain.
The Raptor Assault program comprises three different offerings. Raptor Assault Hot Laps put you in the passenger seat of a Ford Racing F-150 SVT Raptor with a professional driver, giving you the true off-road experience. You will be the co-driver as your pilot demonstrates exactly what the F-150 SVT Raptor is capable of with two laps around our Off-Road Short Course.
The Raptor Assault Experience allows you to get behind the wheel for your own extreme off-road adventure. Following a brief but comprehensive classroom session and vehicle orientation, you’ll strap into a Ford Racing F-150 SVT Raptor to experience the legend for yourself. You’ll tackle the Rock-Crawling Course and the Off-Road Short Course, which will demonstrate the amazing capabilities of the Ford Racing F-150 SVT Raptor. Once you’re done, you’ll swap seats and one of our professional instructors will take you for a ride-along to show you what it’s like when the Ford Racing F-150 SVT Raptor is pushed to its absolute limits.
The Raptor Assault One-Day School begins with a classroom session and vehicle orientation. Then you’ll get behind the wheel to take on eight acres of gravity-defying, white-knuckle rock crawling. Next, you’ll learn to read and deal with different terrain on our high-flying Off-Road Short Course. After a fully-catered lunch you’ll strap back into the driver’s seat to push your off-road driving skills to the limit on the Miller Motorsports Park Off-Road Desert Course – 900 acres of wide-open, dirt-churning desert terrain. After you’re finished driving and have received the checkered flag, your adrenaline rush still isn’t over. You’ll climb into the passenger seat for an incredibly thrilling ride along with a professional driver at the controls - it’s an experience you’ll never forget!
“We are looking forward to our first full season of the Ford Racing Raptor Assault program,” said Dan McKeever, Miller Motorsports Park Director of Track Operations and Performance Schools. “The Raptor is an amazing off-road machine, and our facility is the perfect venue to demonstrate just what it can do. Our professional instructors can help anyone take their expertise to the next level, whether you’re a beginner or an experienced off-roader.”
“We’re very excited about the Ford Racing Raptor Assault program,” said Mickey Matus, Marketing Communication Manager, Ford Racing. “The variety of terrain offered at Miller Motorsports Park is unique in North America, and perfectly suited to showcase the high-performance off-road capabilities of the F-150 SVT Raptor. We know from our experience with the track’s other Ford Racing-affiliated schools that this program will be very well operated, and we’re sure that this is going to be a big hit with our Raptor owners.”
