Miller Motorsports Park 2008 Media Accreditation Procedure
Print, Broadcast and Photographic Journalists
Thank you for your interest in Miller Motorsports Park. Our goal is to make your job covering events at MMP as easy and pleasant as possible.
SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS: Reporters and photographers interested in covering the HANNspree Superbike World Championship® StriVectin-SD® USA Round presented by HANNspree and the Honda Summit of Speed AMA Superbike Championship event, May 29-June 1, 2008, should go to the special SBK instructions.
Reporters and photographers interested in covering any other major events/races at Miller Motorsports Park during the 2008 season should have their assigning editor apply for media accreditation via this website.
In order to be considered for a credential for Miller Motorsports Park's major events, you must be on assignment from a recognized media outlet. All free-lance credential requests must be submitted by the editor of the publication requesting services. We are unable to credential free-lancers unless they are on a specific assignment from a recognized media outlet.
MMP will review credential applications for working print and broadcast journalists and still photographers. Internet-only journalists will be considered on a space-available basis depending on the legitimacy and popularity of the website they are representing.
Media credentials are issued to working media only. All credentials are non-transferable and any unauthorized use will subject the bearer to removal from the premises and confiscation of the credential. A request for credentials does not guarantee they will be issued.
Still photographers must attend a safety meeting at our track (usually held in the morning before on-track activity during events) in order to receive a vest allowing trackside access.
If more than one credential is needed per media outlet, please specify the nature of the assignment (photo or writer) and list the names for each credential request. There are a limited number of photographer passes that will be issued per publication. If photographers are assigned for different days, please specify which days they will be working the event. Confirmation of credentials will be sent to the individual journalists.
The request must received three weeks prior to the event start date to be considered. Please provide your phone number, fax number, e-mail and return address in your request.
Following the event, coverage must be provided to the MMP Media Manager in order to be considered for a media pass to subsequent events at Miller Motorsports Park.
Redeeming Credentials
Once your request has been received and approved, each approved journalist will receive (time permitting) a credential confirmation email. The confirmation email will contain directions to the track, the Welcome Center and registration times. You will be asked to sign individually for your credential. It is not transferable. Transfer of your credential will result in its revocation. Miller Motorsports Park will not permit group redemptions. Photo identification and/or employee verification will be requested and a waiver of liability and indemnification must be signed for each race/event.
Media credentials can be picked up at the walk-up windows at the MMP Welcome Center during registration hours only.
When you receive your credential confirmation, please review the information and contact us immediately if you feel we have provided you with a credential that does not give you appropriate track access, or if you have other questions.
